Multichoice Namola

Activations & Events

The Challenge

Namola needed to boost awareness and app downloads in high-footfall areas through fast, impactful messaging. The goal: cut through the noise, spark curiosity, and convert everyday passersby into engaged users - all within a tight timeframe and limited traditional media.

The Solution

We executed a two-phase guerrilla campaign using a bold “Don’t Panic” message to generate intrigue and drive conversions. Phase 1 focused on awareness through 3,968 stickers, 300 coasters, and high-visibility pole signage in key Gauteng hubs. Phase 2 shifted to conversion, distributing 2,185 leaflets across intersections in Midrand, Sandton, and Johannesburg CBD to encourage downloads and deepen understanding.

The Outcome

Over 6,000 direct consumer engagements through unconventional touchpoints

Successful penetration in high-traffic zones like Bryanston, Soweto, and Pretoria

Stickers outperformed other formats, proving high recall and low-barrier uptake

Taxi ranks and pedestrian zones delivered the most meaningful brand ambassador interactions

Research & Development

The Challenge

Assess consumer appetite for a customisable, ready-to-eat noodle meal using fresh ingredients, while testing price sensitivity and flavour preferences in real-world environments.

The Solution

Designed and produced a fully branded custom stand to host a two-day mall activation in each city. Day 1 focused on free sampling where customers built their own bowls with proteins, veggies, and sauces; Day 2 simulated
live purchases across multiple price points to test intent-to-buy.
A digital order portal was used to capture data and feedback.

The Outcome

Engaged 6,500+ consumers, gathered valuable behavioural and preference data, and delivered actionable recommendations on product formulation, pricing, packaging, and marketing strategies for future rollout.
